How does it work? Firstly, you decide what you would like to include in the book, eg children's creative poetry or perhaps holiday adventure stories. Once you have collated your material you prepare your book file by following the simple-to-follow guidelines and templates on the schoolbook.com CD-ROM. You then submit the completed material to us and we create and publish the book for you. Normally, books are finished as 216mm x 140mm (5.5"x 8.5") paperbacks with full colour cover design. Once the book is published, you can then purchase copies to sell. The unit costs are very reasonable and allow you to make 80-100% profit on each sale whilst charging your parents etc a price that is readily acceptable. Our minimum order is only 10 copies at a time so, unlike other fundraising schemes, you will not have a mountain to climb just to cover your initial investment in stock. Rather than ordering a large amount of books upfront and then hoping to sell them, you can show a sample book to take orders and payments and then order the exact amount of books required. This way your outlay is minimal and there is very little financial risk to the project. Further orders can be placed at any time and we can normally print and deliver copies in less than 10 working days. |
